Candis Whitlock-Bennett has been with Fremont County School District No. 2 since 1998.  She is the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees.  Candis also writes the Consolidated Grant and has been the District’s Consolidated Grant Manager for her entire tenure.  Candis was born and raised in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, but has resided in Wyoming since 1985. She attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, AZ; where she majored in Computer Information Systems and Business.

 

Candis has one Son, Tanner Whitlock, who is a former Dubois High School graduate, an Eagle Scout and a 2010 Daniels Fund Scholar. Tanner received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University (Bozeman, MT) in Dec. of 2014. He is employed as an Electrical Engineer with Consulting Design Solutions, Inc. in Manhattan, Montana and he plans to continue working towards the acquisition of his Masters Degree in the same discipline.  Tanner is also a Champion Saddle Bronc rider on the Montana Rodeo Circuit.

 

Candis enjoys giving to & helping others. She also enjoys camping, fishing, working around her home/yard and spectating sporting events.   Her favorite activity is “spending time with her family and friends.”  Candis hopes to reach retirement while still in the employ of FCSD#2.

I am currently the Fremont County School District #2 Accounts Payable Clerk and Athletic Director’s Secretary.  I began my Dubois Schools career in 2011 and I enjoy being a part of a close-knit, successful school system that cares for the students and staff both in the classroom/office as well as in their life outside the school building.

 

I have 12 years of banking experience ranging from Bank Teller to Customer Service and Bank Secrecy Act Administrator.  I was a Dialysis Support Staff at the University of Missouri Healthcare in Columbia, Missouri for 6 years, where my duties ranged from secretarial tasks to providing patient care and Nephrology Physician support.  I am currently the secretary for the Board of Servant Leaders at our church.

I am originally from a small town of 272 in Mid-Missouri.  My daughter and I, plus my parents, moved to Dubois in 2011.  My parents are retired and enjoy the scenery and wildlife that Western Fremont County has to offer.  My daughter is a 2013 graduate of Central Wyoming College and will be transferring to Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO in the Fall of 2013 to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education. 

My favorite thing to do is sit by the river and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the water.  I love to sing and have shared my voice during worship at church. I love animals and I have a 7 year old “mean & fat” cat named “No Nam-E Cee-a-Tee Purr-Box Dixon” and a 2 year old Red/White Blue-Eyed Siberian Husky named “Kimon Kenai Otis Houdini Ki-Monster Puffy Dixon” or just Naw-Me and Kee-Mon for short.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT STAFF

     

 Ms. Beecham has served as FCSD#2 Business Manager since 2000.  Her responsibilities include fiscal management in the areas of accounts payable, payroll, employee benefits, inventory, federal programs, and cyber Café/adult education.  Ms. Beecham also serves as the fiscal liaison for the District with the Wyoming Department of Education, Wyoming School Facilities Department, and Wyoming Business Council.

 

 Ms. Beecham is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Portland and Southern Oregon State College in Ashland, Oregon (Mathematics).   After a short stint as an actuarial student with Milliman and Robertson in Seattle, Washington, Ms. Beecham later spent 17 years with the Boeing Company as a supervisor of Research and Development engineers in Auburn, Washington.

 Her family’s love of the Rocky Mountains resulted in the move to Dubois is 1997.  Ms. Beecham thoroughly enjoys living in such wild country where there are endless miles of public land to ride horses, hike and hunt.

 

  Ms. Beecham and her husband, Greg Beecham, have raised their two children, Sam and Sarah, in Dubois and now continue to enjoy their “empty nest” in Stoney Point. Sam is a graduate of University of Wyoming in Criminal Justice and is employed as a police officer in Evanston, Wyoming.  Sarah is a recent graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia and is exploring her employment options in industrial/retail interior design.
