In efforts to develop an all-encompassing system of communication, the Community Advisory Group was established by the Board of Trustees in January of 2012. This committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Board about concerns and issues, as well as a community liaison to provide information on new initiatives, goals and plans, etc.

Community Advisory Group input assists the Board of Trustees to conduct business in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of our students in the context of the community. The Community Advisory Group is not designed, nor set up to gather/resolve complaints. The school’s administration, chain of command and governing body of the District is set up to handle this task. The CAG is not and should not be burdened with these tasks. The focus of the CAG discussions should be district programs, activities, goals and plans; not people.

The Community Advisory Group is made up of volunteers from the community. Also attending will be two appointed Board members, a school administrator and possibly other personnel from the district to provide input and clarity on issues as needed. Others may be asked to attend the CAG meetings via request and as the agenda warrants.
